OUR WHY, VISION, AND VALUES

What drives us, directs us, and is important to us.
Our Why…
Some organizations call this their purpose or mission.  We call it our “Why”.  It is why we do everything we do and is the driving force behind every decision, every sacrifice, and every audacious step of faith.

“To create a church people love so they can connect to the life only Jesus can bring!”

Our Vision…
This is what God has called us to do.

“Restore authentic faith, Raise up leaders, Repair lives, Restore communities.”

Our Values…
The unifying values of ministry that create a God honoring culture, facilitate our WHY, and accelerate the accomplishment of our vision.

We value THE GOOD NEWS

We tell everyone we meet about The Good News! Jesus came to connect us to the life we long for, the God who created us, and to fill each day with hope no matter how difficult it is.  We invite them to church and help them find the life Jesus came to give each of us.

We value THE CHURCH

We don’t go to church we are the church!   That is why we come early, often, and serve regularly at our Sunday worship gatherings.   We are excited to join with other members of the church to worship so we sit close, sing loud, and are excited about what God is doing at Bridge.

We value PEOPLE

We believe people are the worlds most valuable resource.   God loved us so much he left heaven to become one of us so we could be in relationship with him.   Every Sunday we want everyone; our guest and regular attenders, to feel valued and appreciated.

We value PARTICIPATION

We believe everyone has a God created gifting that is to be used to serve others.   We encourage everyone to find their place of service in the local church.  We equip and empower people to succeed and lead.

We value DISCIPLESHIP

We believe our decision to follow Jesus is an ongoing journey of transformation.  We provide clear steps for people to take so they can learn about Jesus and how to live like him.

We value COMMUNITY

We do life together.   We have fun together, learn together, cry together, and pray together.    We were not created to journey through life alone.  We therefore make a conscious effort to connect with other believers in the context of a small group, which we call B-groups.

We value GENEROSITY

We will be known as a community of givers, not takers.  Our leadership, staff, and congregation,  will give sacrificially to the work of God in our community and world.

We value FAITH

We will honor God with ridiculous faith and obedience. We will take every step humanly possible to obey what God has spoken to us through his word, prayer, and his Holy Spirit living within us.

We value HONOR

We extend honor in our conversations and actions to those over us, alongside of us, and to those who serve under us.

We value AUTHENTICITY

We will expose the ugly and unrefined areas of our lives because we believe God’s strength is exhibited through our weaknesses.  We admit our weaknesses and find help and strength from others and God rather than struggling in the shadows of shame alone.

We value CHANGE

We refuse to become rigid and inflexible in our methods.  We learn from everyone and incorporate a variety of ideas into our methodology.  We eat the meat and spit out the bones.

We value DIGGING DITCHES

We embrace the things we can do, rather than the things we cannot do.  Only God can bring the rain, but he does expect us to dig the ditch.

We value WORDS OF LIFE

We speak positive words of hope, life, and faith as we declare the Good News of Jesus.  We believe our words help create the culture of our life.  We will create a culture of life and faith that honors God.
